Hearing Aid Styles
Completely in the Canal Hearing Aids
This is the smallest custom hearing aid that fits directly into the ear canal. A removal cord is attach to allow for easy removal from the ear.
Half Shell/Canal Hearing Aids
These hearing aids are larger that the CIC hearing aids, but smaller than a Full Shell hearing aid as seen below. It is fully customizable to include adding a volume control and a button to change listening programs and hearing aid features. It can also adjust to sounds automatically.
Full Shell Hearing Aids
The Full shell Hearing Aid fills the entire "bowl" area of the ear. It is fully customizable to include adding a volume control and a button to change listening programs and hearing aid features. It can also adjust to sounds automatically.
Behind the Ear Hearing Aids
This style of hearing aid fit snugged behind the ear. It comes in colors that matches hair and skin tone. It is attached to a custom made earmold to ensure proper fit.
Receiver in the Ear Hearing Aids
This style of hearing aid fit snugged behind the ear. It comes in a variety of colors. There is a very thin wire that takes the sound from the hearing aid to the ear canal. There is a soft, disposable tip that attaches to the wire and goes into the ear canal.
Hearing Aid Accessories
Many of the hearing aids have additional accessories that can be purchased. These accessories assist with hearing on the telephone, television and in background noise. These include a remote control, Television adaptors and a phone clip that all work wireless and is bluetooth compatible. Many hearing aids will allow for you to download an app to make adjustments using your cell phone!
